Laura Demir is a Student Academic Advisor for the Media Studies program and advises intended and declared students in the major.
Laura advises students in-person and remotely via appointment, drop-in advising, and email.

Scheduled Appointments
Scheduled appointments are one-on-one sessions to talk about things like the Media Studies major, program planning, adding majors and minors, enrichment opportunities, and other topics that require more time.
Students can book one week in advance of appointment. Since appointments are on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, new appointments for the next week should appear on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Appointments begin at the scheduled start time, not Berkeley time.

Drop-in Advising*
Drop-In Advising is a great way to meet with advisors when you have a time-sensitive question or one to a few quick questions. During in-person drop-in, students will arrive at 295 Evans Hall and meet with me in the order they arrive. To access remote drop-in, please follow the links below to visit my Drop-in Advising Zoom Room. Note that the Zoom meeting room will only be open during the hours listed. Upon entering, students will be placed in a waiting room and allowed into the meeting room in the order that they enter. Have your Student ID# and questions ready! Be mindful that other students may be waiting.
